Dear Parents
This week is Book Week and we have already had some wonderful events for the students.
G’DAY ASIA- STORYTELLING AND PUPPETRY
On Monday we had the performance “G’Day Asia”, which was a fantastic puppet show. The presenter, Hugh, told stories from around Asia in particular Indonesia, Japan, India and China. The highlight of the show was definitely the Chinese dragon, which students from Year 6 were able to carry around the hall.
SHARED STORYTELLING
On Tuesday, we had our Pyjamas and Stories Day, where the students and staff wore their pyjamas and shared their favourite stories from the 2023 Children’s Book Week books. It was a fun day of learning and sharing.
IMAGERY THROUGH LEGO DESIGN
In the Library, our own “Lego Master” Mrs Sewell, has set up a fantastic display of Lego creation builds. The children have been absolutely amazed by the creations and have been inspired to create their own. Year 6 have a display in the library of their persuasive advertising task in building design through the use of Lego.
BOOK FAIR
On Friday 1st September, the library will be open for parents, grandparents, godparents and great people to look at and purchase from, our Scholastics Book Fair.
