Recently students harvested the beetroot and some of the spinach from the school's veggie and subpods. After giving the beetroot a good cleaning we cooked, peeled and cut them up and placed them into a mixture of vinegar and sugar. It was interesting tasting freshly cooked beetroot, a tasting that many students enjoyed. The spinach too was cooked up and turned into Mrs Lane’s famous Spinach Pie. Many students enjoyed a piece and were amazed at how good spinach can taste. A big thank you to Mrs Lane.
