CONFIRMATION

Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation was a wonderful celebration with students from our Parish making the final step of initiation with their Catholic faith.  This was also the first group of candidates to be confirmed as members of Corpus Christi Parish Mittagong Bowral.  Bishop Brian Mascord was very impressed with our lovely school and parish community.  Congratulations to all of the candidates and their families.

Feast Day of Corpus Christi
On the 2nd June, a combined Mass was held as our two Parish schools joined together to celebrate as one. It was a wonderful experience with the two schools “lifting the roof of the church” with their beautiful singing. We look forward to celebrating the Feast Day of Corpus Christi next year.

As some more restrictions were eased over the last weeks, it is not necessary to register online or through the Parish office. This is a government regulation and the parish is responsible for ensuring this information is available if requested.

Please remember that all Masses will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, because of the social distancing requirements.

Year 6 HOT DOG DAY
Thank you to everyone who supported the Year 6 Hot Dog to raise money towards school resources. Year 6 managed to raise just under $300 dollars.

World Environment Day
Each year on the 5th June each year we celebrate World Environment Day. This day is a United Nations Environment-led global event and is celebrated by thousands of communities worldwide.

Since it began in 1972, it has grown to become a global platform for people from across the planet to voice their concerns for our planet and encourage others to help.

Most of all, World Environment Day is a day for everyone around the world to take ownership of their environment and to actively engage in the protection of our earth.

St Michael’s gathered together on Monday the 7th June and participated in a liturgy to remind us that we need to look after our planet.

ACTIVATE FIRE
Activate Fire is a primary school Youth Ministry initiative providing catechesis and an opportunity for an encounter with Christ for our Year 6 students. The theme of this event centres on the Sacraments of Initiation with a focus on Confirmation. Our Year 6 students will be participating in this program early next term when we visit St Paul's Moss Vale with 2 other schools in our diocese; St Thomas Aquinas Bowral and St Anthony's Picton joining us on this very special day.

THE HERMITAGE

Unfortunately due to small numbers, the Sunday Brunches and Wednesday Night Roasts have been cancelled.  We may bring it back in spring but will keep you updated.
