REC Report
St Vincent De Paul Christmas Hamper 2020
THANK YOU
Thank you for all the wonderful donations of food for the St Vincent De Paul Christmas appeal. Every family has been very generous. This generosity will help families in our community to have an enjoyable Christmas.
CHRISTMAS CLOTHES DAY!
On Tuesday the 15th of December, Year 1 are hosting a ‘Christmas Clothes Day’ to raise money for St Vincent De Paul. Students are welcome to wear Christmas clothes in exchange for a gold coin donation. This could be a Christmas shirt with a Christmas coloured shorts/skirt, Christmas themed hair tie, hat socks, or ribbons.
END OF YEAR CELEBRATION
On Tuesday the 8th of December, Year 6 celebrated their End of Year Mass and gave thanks for all the achievements and blessings in 2020. It was a wonderful Mass and will be shared with the whole school community on Monday 14th of December via SeeSaw. A very big thank you to Mr Tuckwell for recording the Mass, Ms Abotomey and the liturgy group for singing and to Mrs West for making this happen.
A thank to Year 6, for the wonderful gift to the school of a mosaic cross. Each student has made a piece of the cross. During the Mass Father Sean blessed it.
ADVENT
As we begin the Third week of Advent, we anticipate Christmas, and so we ask Christ to grant us his grace that we might be prepared for welcoming his birth. The third Sunday of Advent, marks a traditional turning point in this period of preparation, and we see it visually in the Advent wreath. We light the rose or pink candle which symbolises our JOY at the coming of Jesus. The purple candles of the first two weeks (and of the fourth week) are symbols of penance.
MASS
Be assured that in the Parish, every precaution is being observed to ensure the safety of those who come to Mass: distancing is clearly marked in the Church and maintained during Mass; all of the liturgical restrictions are followed (Communion in the hand and no singing); the Church is cleaned after each Mass; registration of those who attend is carefully recorded; sanitising is practiced by all who enter the Church. So, please, if you are well and able do not be hesitant about coming to Mass.
Go to the website www.ccsh.org.au and press the link “Register Here” for Mass.
Please remember that all Masses will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, because of the social distancing requirements.

THANK YOU
On behalf of Year 6, I would like to thank Mrs West and Mrs Berrell for helping arrange the Year 6 “3 Days of FUN!”. Also, a big thank you to Mr Tuckwell for coming with Year 6 and helping us enjoy each day. This would not have been possible without your support.
