ENTERING STUDENT ABSENCES
Compass has been reactivated to allow parents to explain their child's absence from school. When completing this in Compass, please ensure that ALL fields are completed. Please type the reason your child is away in details/comment box, it is important that the school is aware of the reason, particularly at this time.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
During this time it is important that we maintain the regulations in terms of reporting any incidents of COVID19. It is vital that you inform our school if your child has been tested for COVID19 or is in isolation due to being a close contact of someone being tested.
Students who are sick are asked to stay at home until they are well. Any child who becomes sick at school will need to be sent home and if contacted, we ask that you please collect your child promptly.
PARENT CONTACT DETAILS
At all times we ask that parents keep your contact details up to date. However, at this time, it is more crucial as we are sending out updated information, nearly on a daily basis. Please advise the office, in writing/email, if you have any changes to your residential address, phone numbers (home, mobile, work), email addresses and work details.
KINDERGARTEN PARENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS
An important part of our school's reporting process is a parent/teacher interview. These interviews for Kindergarten will be held during week 9 of this term.
Bookings are made through the Compass Parent Portal. Bookings will open Monday 15th June and will close at 2.30pm Thursday 18th June.
Years 1 - 6 will be receiving an interim report (see below).
Interim Semester 1 Report (Years 1-6)
Interim Semester 1 Reports will be available via the Compass Parent Portal on Friday 26th June. We no longer print and send home bulk reports as per previous years. For those unable to download or print a copy of the school report, please notify the school in writing and a copy will be printed for you.
A reminder that a student profile exists on Compass only for the period of their enrolment at St Michael’s. When they leave St Michael's, their profile will not be accessible. As students' academic reports are provided to families via Compass, it is important that each report be saved to an external location by parents before the student leaves St Michael’s so that it remains accessible in the future (eg for high school application).
