Parish/School Mass
Thank you to everyone who came to assist and celebrate our School/Parish Mass on Saturday night. The Liturgy group made the celebration an even more joyous occasion with their amazing singing. Also, to the readers who read some very tricky readings. A big thank you to Mr Tuckwell for providing the instrumental music and organising the equipment.

Thank You

Remembrance Day

RD1

Decades have passed since the Armistice that ended World War 1, “The War to end all Wars.” Since that time, conflicts have continued to rage around the globe, but we still hold fast to the idea that peace is possible, and we continue to work towards that goal.

Remembrance Day in Australia commemorates the noble sacrifices of armed forces and civilians during times of war. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, one minute of silence is observed across the country to mark the cessation of hostilities on the Western front during WW1 after over four years of gruesome warfare.

Yesterday we had a reflective and reverent Liturgy to remember all the people have who have served and are currently serving in all the different forces.

“God of the living and the dead, you gave your only Son for the life of the world … Take to your heart the men and women who died to give us life. May we treasure the freedom that we have today because of their bravery and their loving sacrifice…………Amen”
