Catholic Enrichment
Do you know anyone who might be interested in learning more about the Catholic faith? Would you, or someone that you know, perhaps be interested in becoming a Catholic? A gathering will be held tomorrow evening (Wednesday 26 June), at 7.00 p.m. in the Parish Hall, Bowral to outline an instruction course that systematically unpacks our Catholic beliefs. This course will also be open to anyone who would like a refresher in Catholic faith and practice.
Year 3 Maubara Fundraiser
Last Friday Year 3 held a “Coin Trail” fund raiser for Maubara Orphanage in East Timor. It was a wonderful success raising $325.50. Thank you very much to the children and families across the school community who brought in some coins. Thank you to Mrs Walker-Smith and the Year 3 children for creating the coin trail which measured from the Year 3 classroom up to the Kindergarten room!
NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held each year in July across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As NAIDOC Week officially falls during the school holidays, we will have a special day at St Michael’s this coming Friday. As part of our celebrations we will hold a liturgy at 10:00am.
Please see attached flyer from Wingecarribee Council for local Naidoc events.
