A big thank you in advance to all who are helping in so many ways, towards our G Day concert and morning tea. We are very excited to see the students' Grandparents and Great People this Friday 5th September. Further details in this newsletter.
KINDERGARTEN’S BLESSING FOR FATHERS SONG WITH ANDREW CHINN
We are so excited to launch the very special Blessing For Fathers song written by renowned songwriter, musician and singer Andrew Chinn, just in time for Father’s Day. Andrew asked us if Kindergarten could feature in this song and we think you are all going to be so amazed to see what they have been able to create. A huge thank you to Andrew, Mrs Bourke-Nash and Kindergarten for helping create this special blessing for our dads, grandfathers and special men in our students' lives. We know you will love this song as much as we do.

Prayer for Fathers and Grandfathers
From the students of St Michael’s School
Loving God,
We give thanks for our fathers and grandfathers.
We thank You for their love, guidance, and the many ways they care for us each day.
Bless all fathers and grandfathers with patience, strength, and kindness.
May they know how much they are loved and appreciated.
Help us to show them respect, gratitude, and joy in return.
We remember fathers and grandfathers who are no longer with us.
Hold them close in Your eternal love and keep them in our hearts.
May St Joseph, the loving father of Jesus,
be their model of faith, gentleness, and courage.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
We wish all our students Fathers, Grandfathers and special men in their lives a very special day on Sunday.
YEAR 1 PRAYER FOR GRANDPARENTS
At assembly last Friday, Year 1 led us in prayer. They expressed prayers for their grandparents and the many great people in their lives. They shared the many reasons they loved their grandparents and the link to their video prayer is here below:

G DAY MORNING TEA
As has been the tradition at St Michaels, we ask our parents to kindly donate food items for the grandparents morning tea. Could all items please be given to our office ladies on Thursday or Friday morning. Sandwiches are something that the grandparents love along with slices, cakes, scones, biscuits or savoury snacks. A REMINDER THAT WE ARE A NUT FREE SCHOOL. If you are making items that are gluten free, can you label them please, so we can put them aside for our grandparents that may require gluten free snacks.
Thank you so much for your support of this.
L.I.F.E. VALUES AWARD
After renewing our school vision, mission and L.I.F.E. values, we have created St Michael’s L.I.F.E Values awards to recognise students who are displaying our school values of Love, Integrity, Faith and Empathy.
Congratulations to the following Year 1 students who have demonstrated the values of Love and Empathy by cleaning up the sandpit and making sure it was ready for others to play in it.
Thank you to Leo, Indiana, Cooper, Blake and Daniel.

ASSUMPTION LITURGY AT THE GROTTO
Our Year 6 students really showed that they were “Inspired by Christ, we are empowered” (School Mission) when they spent time cleaning up the St Michaels Church Grotto, and preparing it so beautifully for our Assumption Of Mary Rosary Liturgy.
On Friday 15 August, our whole school assembled for a special liturgy and rosary on the Feast of the Assumption of our Lady, at the newly refurbished grotto in our church grounds. It was such a wonderful opportunity for the school to come together in prayer. A special thank you to one of our parishioners who heard that Year 6 had cleaned the grotto and that we had planned to say the rosary there. This parishioner purchased rosary beads for the whole school!! What a special gift. Thank you to our other parents and teachers who supported this liturgy. Our school children were so reverent and prayerful.
Please come to visit the grotto one day and share a special moment with Mary.
SOCCER GALA DAY
Last Thursday, 60 of our students from Year 3 to Year 6 attended the Diocesan (Picton) Gala Day. It was a great day, well organised and lots of fun. Thank you to our wonderful students, parents and teachers for all your positivity and efforts on the day.
Photos from the day can be found on our school Facebook page.
A MAGNIFICENT YEAR 5 FETE
Our students had so much fun at the Year 5 Fete! There were lots of things to buy and a variety of games and challenges. Thank you to the families who donated our yummy cakes, biscuits, slices and treats and to everyone who donated items for the White Elephant Stall.Thank you to Mr Adams especially, and our staff for your contributions on the day and leading up to the fete. Our K-6 children entered into the activities so joyfully and respectfully. A huge thank you and congratulations to our Year 5 students for your organisation and enthusiasm. The ‘photo booth’ pictures will be distributed very soon.
We are so proud to announce that the Year 5 students raised $1389.20 at the fete which has been sent to St Vincent De Paul to help those in need in our community.
